Born and raised in Queens, NY, Canile graduated from St. John's university in 2008. Not long afterwards, he pursued his desire for ministry. He became campus minister with Every Nation Churches & Ministries in 2011. For 11+ years, he has worked with students at St John’s University, Parsons School of Design, FIT, NYU (where he became a Chaplain), and other schools across NYC. Canile's passion was to engage a passion to engage, empower, and mentor students and young adults with the love of Christ. Outside of ministry, Canile is an avid sports fan. His passion for sports began at a very young age with being involved with playing baseball, basketball, tennis, and competing in track and field events.

Later he pursued this desire further when he played on the Varsity football team at Christ the King Regional High School in Middle Village, NY. During his college years, he had the opportunity to work for St. John's Athletics facilities and events for 3 years. He started as an employee with their Event Staff, and was eventually promoted to Events Manager. During this time he also continued his pursuits in competitive sports, by playing on the MABL (baseball league) in Long Island, for 10 years.
